Philadelphia Skyline
The creative brief called for a depiction of the future Philadelphia by inserting architectural blueprints and concept art into the existing skyline. I began the creative process by identifying the correct geological location of each building using Google Maps and gathering reference images. Once I had all the info a detailed sketch was created and submitted to the publisher. Upon approval I turned to Illustrator and my trusty Wacom tablet to create the final artwork below, and I couldn’t be happier with the final result! “Philadelphia’s Future Skyline” was published on the cover of Region’s Business – Philadelphia, October 2014.

Hello,
I am a co-lead of the local Philadelphia Atlassian User Group. We have a meetup tomorrow evening here in Center City and on my closing slide I like to always feature a photograph or illustration or design capturing the spirit of Philadelphia as it pertains to the topic of the evening and I would like to feature your illustration on https://sneedesign.com/projects/philadelphia-skyline/. Would you permit me to feature that illustration on our final slide (of course with credits to you and link to your sneedesign.com homepage)?
Russell — absolutely. Thanks!
